June 11, 2026 International Day of Solidarity with Long Term Anarchist Prisoners

This year as we are marking the International Day of Solidarity with Marius Mason and All Long-Term Anarchist Prisoners we are thinking about the nature of solidarity as ever-changing and never-ending. Our solidarity is not just for those who are imprisoned, but for all those who are harassed, intimidated, deported, hunted, on the run, tortured, and even killed — not just for individuals but for the struggles they are a part of. Just as repression ebbs and flows and state tactics adapt, transform, and innovate, so must our practice of active solidarity. We must adapt to the changing terrain and needs of our movements. Solidarity does not end when trial ends and a verdict is reached, when a hunger strike has gotten its demands met, or even when somebody is released from custody back into the arms of their family and friends. The consequences of state repression last long beyond big moments and media attention. Whenever one cycle of struggle winds down as the target of the state, another will take its place. Whenever one comrade is released from prison, another will be taken in. Our support must continue to ripple out beyond our friends and immediate networks. It must extend beyond the borders of states into all lands and territories where people are fighting. It must expand beyond the present moment, honoring comrades of the past and thinking of what legacy we will leave for those who come after us.
These are the statements from the June 11, 2026 International Day of Solidarity with Long-Term Anarchist Prisoners (featuring Marius Mason, Jeff “Free” Luers,” Ryan Roberts)
Statement, Benjamin “Champagne” Song

Champagne was sentenced to 100 years in prison for their role in a noise demonstration at the Prairieland ICE Detention Facility. Judge Reed O’Connor stated from the bench that he is giving maximum sentences to the Prairieland defendants because “the state wants to send a message to anyone who shares a similar ideology.”
“I don’t fear for myself. I fear for all of you. What will you do in this time of great failures & great injustices? What will you do? How will you help each other? How will you help yourselves?”
Support Defendants & Prisoners from the George Floyd Uprisings (June 2026)

The George Floyd Uprising was the continuation of a battle against the combined powers of the state and white supremacy that has been raging for decades; centuries. That fight does not end when the protests die down or the riots are quelled. It overlaps with other moments of rupture and with the care that we show for each other in the aftermath of repression and the build up towards the next moment. The struggle continues. And for that reason, we do not want those captured by the state to be isolated through their imprisonment and left out of that continuing struggle. We want to facilitate their connections with people, movements, and communities on the outside; this zine is one piece of that effort.
An Interview on Repression & Resistance in Greece – The Solidarity Assembly for Imprisoned Fugitives and Persecuted Combatants
more information: crimethinc.com

For June 11, the day of International Solidarity with Long-Term Anarchist Prisoners, Crimethinc offered a glimpse of the repression that the anarchist movement is facing in Greece and the ways that people are resisting it. For that purpose, we present interviews with members of two groups, the Solidarity Assembly for Imprisoned Fugitives and Persecuted Combatants and the Squatted Community of Koukaki.
The neoliberal immiseration of Greece is taking its toll. The descendants of those who collaborated with the Nazis are in power once again here. They are out of touch with the lives that most of us lead in these precarious lands. They imitate the fascist narratives that are at work in the United States, pushing for the same “quality of life policing” and “law and order” doctrines while enjoying corruption and excess at our expense. This is taking place all across the world, and everywhere, relentless judicial repression plays an integral part. Because of this, for the sake of our integrity, it is critical that we engage in solidarity, learning from each other’s struggles and preserving our revolutionary communities and bonds. These are victories in and of themselves that we can grasp, even if they don’t always leave us smiling. Solidarity is not just a means of self-preservation, but a thread connecting everyone across the world who seeks liberation rather than settling for a society dictated by domination, exploitation, and an unrelenting death cult. Solidarity is our weapon! All we have is us! — Anarchists
Free Marianna & Dimitra: Statements from the Ampelokipi Case
more information: athens.indybay.org & actforfree.noblogs.org

The Ampelokipi trial in Athens has come to an end. After an explosion on October 31, 2024 that killed anarchist comrade Kyriakos Xymitiris and severely injured anarchist comrade Marianna, the greek state put her and four other comrades in pre-trial detention for the last year and a half on terrorist charges. On April 4, 2026 the state handed down the expected sentences: 19 years in prison for Marianna and 8 years for Dimitra. Dimitris, Nikos Romanos and A.K. were acquitted and released, losing 18 months of their lives in punishment for the state’s terrorist myths.
This zine was updated in June 2026 to include Marianna’s sentencing statement.
